Thanks for visiting.

Let's attack the keyboard with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Let's make it a fun experience.

I am now signing up for September. Call or email me early if you want to get a preferred spot.

Start your playing (practice) with a drill if you have been absent from the instrument, around the clock.  You will soon get into the habit of warming up that way and the rusty playing will quickly disappear.

End your practice with 1 or 2 songs that you know and enjoy. You want to leave the keyboard felling good, not discouraged. Yes, I concede, sometimes this stuff can be frustrating but you should approach your challenges in short bits.  If you seem to be at an impasse stop and do something else then go back to it before you end your session.  After a time, you will get to the next level; I promise.

I seem to have everyone playing the Blues lately.  Not only is it great fun but it leads to other areas (such as jazz) and frees the mind from only playing what is on the page.  Improvising is such a terrific talent and adds to your confidence.  Ultimately you should be able to add your own touch to your songs (even the classics you know) and you will be able to cover your problem notes well and not stop playing the song, but move on and keep the tempo.

Play well.......Frank
